TINA - 900 Watt Bass Device
Despite the faint smell of last night's mop solution, the floor of the venue was sticky. Walking into soundcheck, Ivan felt confident that he would have the kind of bass tone that moves people. He remembered the smile on the engineer's face yesterday when the Cinemag DI in his Nevis Tina delivered a crystal clear rendition of what his fingers did. Easily lifting the less than 8lbs, tube-driven pre-amp with 900W of class-D power with one hand onto the house bass cab, Ivan couldn't help but smile. Using either a 1/4in or an NL2 or NL4 speak-on speaker cable to drive this alien cabinet, Tina would inevitably mate with this strange passive box and make it sing. With a flick of the power switch, the amber light glowed and the Noctua fan cooled the power section... ready to deliver the lowest lows and the funkiest of licks. Ivan began to play, "Only four simple controls, yet each one delivering seemingly endless flavor and color in any direction. The High Pass Filter pairs perfectly with the Low Frequency adjustment to carve out the perfect bottom. The High Frequency control allows me to easily sculpt the sound of my tone without ever becoming harsh or brittle. And this Sound Pressure Level control; some might think it's just volume, but every time I turn these big chrome knobs I can't help but feel powerful."
"What did you say?" the drummer asked.
"Oh, nothing..." Ivan replied, "I just love this amp."
The Nevis Tina was the brainchild of bass player Ivan Gates and Dustin Nevis. This amp is a classic California inspired tube pre-amp into 900W of solid state power and a Cinemag DI. Light-weight, fantastic sounding, and LOUD.
Tina has a very simple array of controls for powerful tone sculpting. Tina is built from the highest-quality parts sourced from as close to Reno, NV as we could. We hope that Tina will be your favorite amp.
"It's just the best bass amp."
"It always just sounds so good."
"Ooooooh... she pretty."
"Wow, you can see the tubes and the Cinemag DI from the vent on the left side. It almost looks like they did that on purpose."
"Where is the bathroom?"
-things people will probably say when hearing or seeing Tina
We hope you get to play one. We hope you love it as much as we do. We hope it serves you for a long time.
